advertising values

What about advertising screens? What is the difference between board and billboard? What do you mean by "indication"? --Mapper999 (talk) 09:06, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

animated

I would use the following 4 values:

  • animated=no - no animation
  • animated=prisms - consists of triangular prisms that rotate, a.k.a. Trivision
  • animated=scrolling - scrolls through the posters (can be more than three)
  • animated=video - can show videos or movement

Instead of animated=rotating, I would stay with revolving=yes, as it could conflict with animated (e.g. a revolving billboard that scrolls through the advertisements). I also found that animated=rotating is not self-explaining as Trivision or scrolling could also be seen as rotating. --Mapper999 (talk) 08:50, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

additional values

direction

direction=*: To show the direction the billboard faces to. When there is more than one face, separate the values by semicolons. Can be used for 3D rendering or to verify the flow=* value. --Mapper999 (talk) 09:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

model

model=*: To describe the exact model of an advertising screen or billboard. Example: "model"="Infoscreen Station Video" for the video screens by Ströer that are often found in German railway and underground stations. --Mapper999 (talk) 09:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

level

level=*: Interesting for indoor application. For example OpenLevelUp! shows indoor advertisings[1]. --Mapper999 (talk) 09:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

visibility

visibility=*: To describe from where you can see (and read) the advertising board, also important for calculating the impact. --Mapper999 (talk) 09:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Why adding man_made=advertising ?

In case you require man_made=advertising, this conflicts with man_made=flagpole, advertising=flag, not ? It will also require a retagging of all existing advertising objects, which should be avoided IMHO. --Escada (talk) 13:05, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Missing icon in JOSM preset

The JOSM preset refers to a missing icon "Panneau.svg", can you please attach it to the Presets wiki page?
