Sorry - I didn't notice this until now. I've updated to the latest mkgmap just last week and maybe that means routing is turned on now, but I'll check. Karora 04:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Hopefully I just needed to add the --net --route options to my build script and it should be a routing map from now on.
