Salut Karouf, je vois que tu as ajouté des liens sur la page WikiProject France dans les "Ressources utiles" vers les adresses http://hexagone.openstreetmap.fr et http://tagwatch.openstreetmap.fr.
Pourrais-tu m'expliquer ce qu'est le site openstreetmap.fr ? Est-ce un site géré par la fondation UK ou une fondation OSM en France ou une initiative personnelle? Qui en est le responsable ? quelle est la méthode pour créer cette image limitée à la France (idée que je trouve très bonne) et avec quelle périodicité est-elle mise à jour ? est-ce basé sur planet.osm ? Avec plus d'infos, je pourrais améliorer le wiki ou créer une page dédiée au site openstreetmap.fr . User: Pieren 18:00 14 Nov. 2007

Salut Pieren ! Le nom de domaine openstreetmap.fr appartient à sxpert et les sous-domaines tagwatch et hexagone pointent respectivement sur des serveurs gérés par Olivier et moi-même. L'Hexagone.osm est extrait tous les matins aux alentours de 4h du mat du dernier Planet.osm et est disponible en général vers 5h (bien qu'il devrait bientôt être dispo un peu plus tot, 4h environ) sous la forme d'un dump complet et d'un diff à appliquer à l'Hexagone de la veille à l'aide d'Osmosis. Tous les fichiers sont compressés au format bzip2. En ce qui concerne le domaine openstreetmap.fr, il me semble que sxpert a des projets et l'autre jour on a évoqué un blog collectif sur planet.openstreetmap.fr par exemple. On essaye en ce moment d'organiser un peu plus les choses. Si tu peux n'hésites pas à nous rejoindre sur IRC car c'est là que ça discute le plus. --Karouf 08:56, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Planet d'OSM

Bonjour

D'après FR:Servers, tu es le contact du site [1]. Celui ci affiche une page blanche. J'ai mis à jour (voir Special:Contributions/Manu1400) quelques pages utilisant ce lien, en le remplaçant par [2] tout en conservant l'ancien juste à coté entre commentaires. Bonjour. Le site http://planet.openstreetmap.fr n'est plus en fonction le nouveau planet est bien http://www.openstreetmap.fr/planet. J'ai tout simplement oublié de mettre à jour la page FR:Servers. Pour ce qui est du sous-domaine, il faudrait voir avec User:Sxpert, le domaine openstreetmap.fr lui appartient. --Karouf 14:32, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Missing file information

Hello! And thanks for your upload - but some extra info is necessary.

Sorry for bothering you about this, but it is important to know source of the uploaded files.

Are you the author of image File:ClermontFerrandAreaMap.png ?

Or is it copied from some other place (which one?)?

Please, add this info to the file page - something like "I took this photo" or "downloaded from -website link-" or "I took this screeshot of program XYZ".

Doing this would be already very useful.

Licensing - photos

In case that you are the author of the image: Would you agree to open licensing of this image, allowing its use by anyone (similarly to your OSM edits)?

In case where it is a photo you (except relatively rare cases) author can make it available under a specific free license.

Would you be OK with CC0 (it allows use without attribution or any other requirement)?

Or do you prefer to require attribution and some other things using CC-BY-SA-4.0?

If you are the author: Please add {{CC0-self}} to the file page to publish the image under CC0 license.

You can also use {{CC-BY-SA-4.0-self}} to publish under CC-BY-SA-4.0 license.

Once you add missing data - please remove {{Unknown|subcategory=uploader notified February 2022}} from the file page.

Licensing - other images

If it is not a photo situation gets a bit more complicated.

note: if you took screenshot of program made by someone else, screenshot of OSM editor with aerial imagery: then licensing of that elements also matter and you are not a sole author.

note: If you downloaded image made by someone else then you are NOT the author.

Note that in cases where photo is a screenshot of some software interface: usually it is needed to handle also copyright of software itself.

Note that in cases where aerial imagery is present: also licensing of an aerial imagery matter.

Please ask there if you are not sure what is the proper next step. Especially when you are uploading files that are not your own work or are derivative work (screenshots, composition of images, using aerial imagery etc).
