Deleting infoboxes content

Note that content should not be deleted from wiki pages (at least for English pages, maybe translators of some languages do differently) - even if it is in data items already. Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:54, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

While you are correct about not deleting content from infoboxes, the change I made was for standardization to be up to date on how most pages are set up (including pages in other languages) and to prevent any potential description fragmentation that might occur over time. I made sure that the established wikidata item already had an English description before making the commit. --Mxdanger (talk) 18:40, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

It is technically feasible to completely blank infoboxes and rely on data items, but there is no support for this. I admit that fragmentation is a problem, but it can be automatically detected (see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Category:Data_item_issues or more specifically https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Category:Mismatched_description ). I am also working right now on tool that would reduce problems due to broken data items (it would produce raports similar to this categories, but in more useful form - at least to me) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 20:57, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Oh my bad, I went about fixing it the wrong way and didn't realize matching the infobox description with the wikidata description would remove the double description. --Mxdanger (talk) 01:03, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Undiscussed wiki changes and mass retagging

In https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Key:payment&oldid=2120599 you changed the the huaweipay value to huawei_pay, and afaik retagged the uses of this in the OSM data. While it is fairly harmless transgression in the grand scheme of things, it is clearly not best practice and created a difference between the wiki and presets that contained the value and what is in the database. If this had been a more popular key you would have simply created two taggings out of one. SimonPoole (talk) 10:27, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

Roof render creation

Hi Mxdanger, I saw that you'd made some wonderful images to illustrate the roofs, first of all thank you a lot!

In fact, I find them so good that I'd like you to make others ! In particular to replace those present on the page Simple_3D_Buildings#Roof, moreover I've imported your creations (Commons Category:Files by Mxdanger) on Commons to illustrate the roofs there too Commons:Roof forms because yours are so clean.

So to resume it will be cool if you would to replace those OSM wiki roof by your beautiful roof red cool style, in the same format as you did (png, 640x640) :
