--Teddych 14:40, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Spelling
Ummm, you really do spell "buses" like that.Mentor 03:51, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- I destroyed your edit by mistake and did not realize it. Then I tried to reconstruct your edit, possibly with errors/missing things. If I have written buses wrong, please feel free to correct it again. --Teddych 05:30, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- No worries, I'll fix it Mentor 07:55, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Please, revote
Hi, can you revote for Proposed_features/Infant_care_shop#Vote and show which value for tag you prefer. Thank you!
route_master vs. line
--Don-vip 20:15, 5 April 2011 (BST)

highway=bus_stop
Dear Teddych,
you reverted [1], where User:Roland.olbricht removed the statement, that adding the highway=bus_stop tag to a node on the street is considered mandatory.
However, as I understand your Public Transport proposal it clearly states that it "does not replace, deprecate or obsolete the already existing and well known tags." (source). Therefore the proposal doesn't say that highway=bus_stop should be tagged on the street nodes. In fact, it states the opposite, i.e. the highway=bus_stop tag can be used as before the proposal (which is, in most areas, to put it beside the street, since that is what people think of as a "bus stop").
Also in the other places where highway=bus_stop is mentioned in your proposal it doesn't state that it should be put on the way. Thus I fail to see how it could be mandatory to place highway=bus_stop tags to the nodes on the street.
Furthermore, I think there are other good reasons for tagging highway=bus_stop beside the street (in addition to using the correct tags from the Public Transport schema, of course) which I give in this question at OSM Help and IMHO no benefits when placing highway=bus_stop on the ways (please read the linked question and the answers).
Therefore, could you please explain why you think that highway=bus_stop should be tagged on the street (and why you consider this tag mandatory at all, given that while your proposal didn't actually make it obsolete, it still isn't needed anymore, except for legacy software)? Thanks.

- +1
- In Lübeck we do it this way: 1389631 1389631
- public_transport=platform on separate ways beside the road (with rule platform[:XX] in the route-relation)
- highway=bus_stop on the first node of the platform for compatibility (not in the relation)
- public_transport=stop_position on the road at the position of the first door (with rule stop[:XX] in the route-relation)
- The numbers in the rules are optional but very helpful for maintaining the relations (The PT-Maps support them!)

You are right, the line with highway=bus_stop is not correct. But the stop position is NOT beside the street. And he corrected that in the text of stop position. I will work on that after my holiday. --Teddych 09:00, 29 July 2012 (BST)
- Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I noticed that the edit you reverted wasn't correct and was trying to revise it but since I didn't knew if you reverted it because of this or because you considered the previous version correct altogether I decided to better ask you first.
- However, if you're going to work on this yourself that's even better since you have more experience with this topic. I'd suggest to remove the section explaining how to tag bus stops in the Public Transport schema from the Tag:highway=bus_stop page altogether and simply add a link to Buses, where this is already (correctly) described. This would remove unnecessary duplication from the wiki and thus reduce the likelihood of errors and improve clarity. --Dhf 21:06, 31 July 2012 (BST)
Mobility-Standort Wollerau
Danke. --Teddych 06:12, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
railway=platform
Ich habe aber mal ein Ticket diesbezüglich erstellt: public_transport=platform does not get rendered. Ich hoffe, es wird bald gerendert. Gruss --Teddych 15:10, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
- super, ich danke dir. dann könnten die alten tags endlich raus :-) --Esperanto 15:39, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Route_Segments Proposal
Hi, I like your Proposed_features/Route_Segments. I used it and feel very comfortable with it. How does it go on? when will the voting be started? --K4r573n (talk) 09:06, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- I have pushed the Proposed_features/Public_Transport with a sucessful vote. The default map-style (mapnick) still does not render what is generally approved. Before this does not get rendered, I don't think I will do any more time consuming for OSM. Sorry. If you would like you can force the Route Segments proposal, no problem. --Teddych (talk) 06:40, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
