Ja, eindelijk wordt de eerste echte Nederlandse mapping party georganiseerd van 2010. Deze vindt plaats in de mooie stad Utrecht!

Nabeschouwing: op de blog
De meeste wegen zijn al compleet, en ook wordt er nog voor de party 3dShapes landuse geïmporteerd rond Utrecht, maar er blijft desondanks nog meer dan genoeg te doen! Namelijk, voet- en fietspaden, en natuurlijk voorzieningen, zoals de vele kroegen, restaurants en winkels in het oude stadscentrum. Natuurlijk moeten er ook huisnummers gemapt worden. Dus, het is niet strikt noodzakelijk om je GPS mee te nemen, maar je laptop is welkom (voor de upload van onze noeste arbeid), zolang je hem maar mee kan sjouwen ;) Het meeste karteren kan te voet worden gedaan, en uiteraard met behulp van Walking Papers.

Yes, finally the first real mapping party of the Netherlands in 2010 will be organized, and it will be held in the beautiful city of Utrecht!

Where: Stairway to Heaven, Mariaplaats, Utrecht
Most highways are already complete, and 3dShapes landuse data will be imported, but there is still plenty to do! Namely to map footpaths / cyclepaths, and of course amenities, like the many pubs, restaurants and shops in the old city center. Of course we'll also take a shot at housenumber mapping. So, it isn't strictly necessary to bring your GPS with you, but your laptop is welcome (for the upload), as long as you can carry it around ;) Most of the mapping can be done on foot, and can be done with Walking Papers.
