WikiProject Belgium/wind turbines

Most wind turbines in Belgium are mapped. But we are missing detailed data, like the construction year, the rotor size and the power output. This page is for coordinating action to improve that data.

Making it easy to contribute

We are making a MapComplete theme to map wind turbines. Draft code is available at Seppe's Github page. You can test drive it here.

Once the theme is a little more polished, it will be merged into MapComplete proper and be available at https://mapcomplete.osm.be/OpenWindPowerMap or similar

Who can we contact to help improve the data?

Flanders

• Vlaams Energie- en Klimaatagentschap (VEKA) who collect the same data based on building permits. Perhaps we can get a feed of their raw data
• The Flemish provinces - diensten Klimaat: they use the data for reporting about climate measures and need this kind of data
