Mailing list
The OSM Philippines mailing list (talk-ph) (alternative archives: The Mail Archive, Gmane) is where all the discussions regarding mapping the Philippines take place. Most discussions are done in English, though it is possible to use Filipino as well.
When agreements are made, these are documented here in the Wiki. As such, the talk pages here in the Wiki should only be used for discussing how to improve and organize the various Wiki pages and not for discussing how to map the Philippines.
OSMPH Local

OpenStreetMap Philippines Inc. is a non-profit membership-based organization that aims to promote OpenStreetMap in the Philippines, and to support the activities of the Philippine OpenStreetMap community and that of the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
The OSM Philippines community is a recipient of GPS units from the OSM Foundation's GPStogo program. The WikiProject Philippines' GPStogo program page is the location for coordinating the use of these devices and documenting the output as a result of using the GPS units.

CWTSS++

The CWTS++ project pilot is a service-learning program spear-headed by the MapAm❤re Initiative, in close collaboration with the San Juan Campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and intends to provide a pragmatic, progressive learning experience for NSTP-CWTS volunteers, while meeting the service requirements mandated by National Service Training Program (R.A. 9163) for tertiary-level students, in particular its Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) component.
OSMaPaaralan

This project is a portmanteau of OSM + Map + Paaralan - to collaboratively map public schools (paaralan) in the Philippines, on OpenStreetMap. The goal is to improve school location data on OpenStreetMap, using DepEd CY 2013 data (archived here, cleaned-up here) with explicit permission from the agency to integrate them to OSM. This is a public mapping effort, and local communities are encouraged to contribute.
Project SUCCESS

Project SUCCESS (Strengthening Urban Communities' Capacity to Endure Severe Shocks) is a project of the Catholic Relief Services. It directly supports nine towns and cities in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Rizal. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of local government units and vulnerable communities and enhance their resilience to floods and earthquakes. One of their main activities is to assist these LGUs to develop their disaster exposure database to help them identify and map the different structures that may be affected by natural hazards, so that they can better prepare and respond to these events. Last February, CRS and the UP Resilience Institute conducted training and mapathon events to these cities to collect map information of buildings and other key elements on the ground. The local YouthMappers helped organized in the respective project areas, and various other partners.
Other projects

The MAPANAN project of the City of Baguio is organized and initiated as part of Executive Order No. 104, S. 2023 with the purpose to support mapping in Baguio for OpenStreetMap and in return OpenStreetMap serving all offices, Baguio Smart City and all Barangays as well as tourists, constituents and companies like Grab, Facebook with the most accurate data for all. The wiki page will describe the process of capturing UAV images, processing them, setting up WebODM, Geoserver to host the imagery, tutorials, optimizing data, reducing the amount of data without loss of quality, applications being used and more. The wiki will basically be a practical way to describe the Howto from the capturing of images using UAVs to host your own server for all the orthographic, optimized and mosaic deployment to be used in JOSM and ID Editor.
Note: please keep in mind this is a Work in Progress as of Jan 2024. But I'll keep updating the wiki as more data, howto's and tutorials become available.
