A 2 day workshop exploring community mapping and reporting technologies and skills, and their use in real community problem solving.
Goals
- Exposure to mapping and reporting tools for participants.
- Strategic suggestions for Cities Alliance and Makerere University's summer projects
- Build up and connections of Uganda and East African mapping communities

Program:
- Set the goal of the session (5 min)
- Explore ways how different community generated maps can help in existing processes that happen in a city
- Introductions of Field Specialists (5 minutes each, total 30 min)
- Subject: How do we deliver service XYZ to the community?
- Walkaround session in X corners where each Specialism is challenged with process issues (that are geospatial) (fix broken wire, find client etc) 4x15 min 1 hour)
Coffeebreak During the break the specialists & team decide on 1 issue per sheet to workout
- Breakout sessions to discuss: (1 hour)
- How does the process work?
- Who are the stakeholders?
- Who contributes to the map?
- Who uses the map during the process?
- How does the map actually look like? (output)
- How does the process look like? (output)
- Present the maps & processes back to the group (30 min)
- Evaluation: How far have we achieved the goal of the session? (10 min)
