A dry stone wall wall=dry_stone is a wall constructed from stones without mortar to bind them together. Due to the cost associated with repairing dry stone walls many are in a poor state of repair and no longer stock proof.
How to tag
barrier=wall is the primary tag and wall=dry_stone should be used to tag the type of wall as dry stone.
How to map
Create a line along the length of the dry stone wall. Where a dry stone wall joins another dry stone wall use a shared node. If there are substantial gaps in the wall then end that line, leave a gap and create a new way for the next section. If there is a fence adjacent to the dry stone wall to make it stock proof, it is preferable to map the dry stone wall if only one barrier is to be mapped. Where a wall has collapsed but the stones still remain it will still be a useful feature for navigation and should be preferably be mapped. Mark a gate of stile in the wall by creating a node on the way at the appropriate location and tagging it with barrier=gate or barrier=stile or similar. For a short gap consider using a barrier=entrance node.
