CheckTheMonuments
This map help you, to find the place withe the most monuments. Check it! A tool for quality assurance of historic objects. Many of the detected objects as "historic = monument" is not a monument in reality. They were out of ignorance or lack of matching tags detected as a monument. This map will assist in the correction. --Reneman (talk) 08:28, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- Technically this visualisation approach is actually rather a clunky primitive way of working around browser marker limitations right? Sorry that sounds like harsh criticism... In fact my colleague did something quite similar for http://schoolbrowser.co.uk/primary The results are kind of visually interesting (that site could also be a featured image proposal) but I can't help thinking a more "correct" way to work around browser marker overload is to do more advanced tricks with raster layers (like http://cartodb.com ) And that would make for a more appropriate "image of the week".
- CheckTheMonuments is an interesting site and an interesting OSM data improving project though. Maybe we can promote via other channels

- (up to here text comes from Featured_image_proposals) As Harry said that is not a pretty, interesting image which shows what the monuments project is about. --Aseerel4c26 (talk) 11:20, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
