May 16, 2023 regular meeting of the OpenStreetMap United States Board of Directors

Call to Order

Diane called the meeting to order at 1pm, Eastern Daylight Time, via video conference.

Present:

• Maggie Cawley (Executive Director)
• Diane Fritz (President)
• Brian Sperlongano (Vice President)
• Adam Franco (Treasurer)
• Matthew Whilden (Secretary)
• Priyanka Miller (At Large)

Reports

• The Executive Director (ED) provided an update to the board on OSM US’s activities over the prior month.
  • How’s SotMUS going - what needs help?
    • Board members assigned as room hosts
    • Scholar are on track to attend
    • Board members as Code of Conduct contact points, training info to be sent by Maggie
    • Volunteer schedule is prepared
  • Government agency support and interest is strong and continuing to grow (DoT, DoI)
  • The ED continues to expand our reach into various conferences via invited talks/panels

New Business

• Trails group coordination for government stakeholders continues apace. Presentation scheduled for SotMUS
