Nate Smith	Kate Chapman, Angela Oduor Lungati, Anni Beukes	USA / Indonesia	[from Anni] Joining HOT's Board as an 'outsider' meant that I didn't always intuitively understand how all the parts fit together. Nate's institutional memory of HOT, his continued passion to see HOT succeed, along with his willingness and patience to answer my often mundane questions, have been invaluable as I navigated my first year as a new Board member. I think these qualities will also serve HOT both internally and externally through the next phase of our evolution.	For over the last 10 years I have been involved in many areas with HOT. I have helped lead mapping projects as a volunteer or supported technology partnerships that strengthen the development of our tools as staff. The last two years have been incredibly rewarding as I have been able to serve on the Board. I have served as Treasurer in the last year, helping support the organization in financial operations and oversight. I am looking to continue to work in my role as Treasurer and support the organization as it continues to implement the Audacious Project and transition beyond it. As an existing Board member, I hope to continue serving to help continue the organization’s strong growth trajectory. I am incredibly proud of the work the current Board has done; most notably we have helped solidify a transition to a more strategic Board, supported the development and launch of the Living Strategy, and helped transition the Executive Director role to a strong leader in Rebecca. I am looking to continue to work on HOT’s technology and product strategy in order to support helping the organization to develop the right tools for the community. To reiterate the ways I will operate as a board member to help support the growth trajectory of HOT – firstly, I will contribute an innovative outside perspective to discussions on strategy and governance by bringing my experience working the last two years in the private sector leveraging developing mapping strategies. I will do this through the active contribution of ideas and draw on my experience. Secondly, I will continue to connect and network with like-minded organizations to support HOT to be a forward-thinking organization around technology and impact within humanitarian OSM. I will work to be a connection point for fundraising and strategic growth opportunities, and I will continue to operate with inclusivity and good communication to ensure all strategy, governance, and fundraising discussions with the board support meeting the growth trajectory of HOT. Lastly, I will continue to ask tough questions and push the organization to do what is right for the communities that we work in and the members that are within those communities.
Shoaib Burq	Pete Masters, Angela Oduor Lungati, Anni Beukes	Germany	[from Pete] I think Shoaib has been an excellent board member over the last term (which is one that has included a lot of change for HOT including a new living strategy, operating model and the recruitment of a new exec director. I'd love to see him re-elected to continue to serve on the board, providing the same kind of care, energy and insight that has characterised his first term.	HOT is navigating its role as an enabler and catalyst for local communities in an increasingly complex world. This is due to the rapid changes in technology, geopolitics, climate change and economic uncertainty. I think HOT is well placed to do good despite the uncertainty by advancing the voices of local communities and push for greater participation in the use of technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The current board and leadership are committed to this mission and have taken big steps towards this path such us encouraging regional hubs and giving greater autonomy to them. More still needs to be done to advance this mission of localisation though. I hope I can continue to work with my wonderful colleagues on the board and steer us in this direction while balancing the challenges. Having said that I do echo the sentiments that Pete expressed during my recent conversation with him, it would be nice to see newer community members run for the board. We could always do with greater diversity of experience on the board. Some of the great work that the governance working group is doing will I hope go a long way towards addressing that. Overall I'd be honoured to serve on the board again with the amazing people of HOT.
Kuo-Yu slayer Chuang	Chad Blevins Shoaib Burq	Taiwan	[from Shoaib] Slayer has been a long standing active member of the HOT and OSM community. He has also been with HOT since its early days and understands HOT's evolution from a 10 person outfit to where it is today. I hope to see him re-elected and expect he will bring his unique experience as entrepreneur and technologist to the board. Not to mention the geographic diversity.	As a long term community member, I express my further support to HOT by serving as board during 2017 to 2018, and from 2021 to 2023. I would love to keep my contribution going for HOT as a tech geek who is highly interested in geospatial and data technologies, to bring up some topic that could impact HOT in mid-/long-term planning such as AI mapping, data ontologies, and validation for sepcific scenarios. I would also like to contribute as an entrepreneur for some further strategic planning, especially the potential joint operation with some regional (Asia) or international organizations. Audacious Project allows us to contribute greater impact to the society, continuity and sustainability will be key to the next stage of HOT. It's great to have this opportunity to work with current board members and staff in previous 2 years. I am more than willing and happy to keep working with our awesome community members, staff, and board members together to shape and realize the future of HOT.

TSONGO MULUBA Bienvenu	Pete Masters	DRC/DRC	Muluba has been a core member of the community working group for the last couple of years and is clearly very committed to HOT and the ecosystem of communities that are a fundamental part of it.	I'm a Geometer-Topographer engineer, I'm also a cartographer. I have worked on many mapping projects with OSM RDC in the health sector. I've also promoted HOT throughout my career as a cartographer to many social class groups. My real involvement in HOT started during the EBOLA pandemic that hit the city of Butembo where I live in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018. Being a cartographer, collecting spatial data for health facilities was difficult due to a lack of open source tools to use for this urgent activity. That's when a friend told me about OSM and collection tools like OsmAnd and OsmTracker. Very excited, I trained a lot of health workers on data collection and thus passed on this knowledge to many young people in my region and contributed to the end of the EBOLA virus disease epidemic. Since joining the group of OpenStreetMap contributors, I've been involved in many mapping projects, initiatives, events and activities, including supervising young cartographers in participatory mapping during the fight against EBOLA. The reuse of this data by humanitarians was used for vaccination, infection prevention, population density analysis, safe and dignified burials, community-based surveillance, etc. In addition to this fight, I took part in projects supported by HOT in the DRC between 2020 and 2021, within the health framework of helping healthcare providers to easily trace the origins of patients in order to prevent epidemics and support the expanded vaccination program. Today, I can see how open mapping and OSM have had an impact on me and my community; I've initiated a small, active group that learns together and teaches others. Last year, at a university, I demonstrated how to use OSMAnd and this contributed to the teaching work at the university. I'm now focusing on how students can use OSM data in their scientific research. I always have a vivacious spirit and inclination towards humanitarian aid and community development promotions, and I'm sure I'm in the right place with HOT. And I'm convinced that, with the help of the other members, it will be a great reinforcement to work as a team. The biggest thing is to remain transparent and impartial. Since becoming a voting member, I've joined many of HOT's working groups, with the idea of developing my potential and supporting HOT's overall objectives. I've always created moments of exchange with some voting members I know and even encouraged others to join the team so that, one way or another, HOT achieves its goals. In addition to my experience with OpenStreetMap and HOT as an active contributor, I'm also active in the CWG. Becoming a voting member representative is a good opportunity for me to get more involved and support HOT's activities and the local community of contributors.
