Minutes of meeting of the Training Working Group of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team

Meeting commenced at 19:00 UTC Monday 18th December 2017 using the Mumble server, but IRC monitored.

Other Business

Nick managed to get back to regular updates of the learnOSM staging site from Transifex. In the meantime he shared his scripts with Michael who will be able to jump in as backup.

Michael announced that he wants to clean the number of languages supported and retain only those with visible translation activity. An announcement got out to both the HOT mailing list and to all translators on Transifex. The cleanup will take effect at the end of January. He also plans to walk through the current documentation on iD and JOSM and adjust it if it deviates from the current software versions.

Ralph suggested that we choose a different name for the certificate program mentioned in the goals of the working group. A certificate might generate the impression that there is an examination which follows some widely accepted standard which is not what we can achieve.

The attendants agreed to skip the next regular time slot which would be New Year's eve.
