Webinar
Our webinar series for this year started last Saturday with a presentation on JOSM for Beginners. Unfortunately we could only start with a delay of ten minutes but still more than 30 participants were present. The recording is already available and we will send a follow-up mail to the registrants apologizing for the delay and informing them about the possibility to watch the video.
The next webinar will be on Advanced JOSM. We decided to hold this webinar on Saturday 1st June at 14:00 UTC. Our current plans are that the presenters will be Geoffrey, Michael, Ralph and Russ as in our previous webinar last year.
LearnOSM
Michael tries to streamline the production process for translated documents where the preparation of the odt and pdf versions require some effort. This becomes increasingly difficult as the translation activity is currently high. The plan is to replace the existing prefabricated files by a new style for printing which should give a comparable result when printing to pdf. A first version is operative on our staging site, feedback particularly about the result with various web browsers is welcome.
Russ mentioned that significant changes in the flow of the Tasking Manager will go live this year and require documentation effort. He will provide more information on that (or invite a guest from the development team) in our Meeting on 1st April.
