myOSM
Overview
Our myOSM is composed of enthusiastic mappers dedicated to supporting the OpenStreetMap (OSM) in Myanmar. Our mission is to contribute valuable geospatial data, enhance map accuracy, and strengthen the OSM community within the country. By organizing mapping activities, training sessions, and collaborative projects, we aim to build a vibrant and skilled community of mappers across Myanmar.
Contributors
myOSM offers a collaborative platform for mapping enthusiasts of all experience levels. Through shared activities, workshops, and projects, contributors have the chance to expand their mapping knowledge and skills. This inclusive approach ensures that all mappers, from beginners to seasoned contributors, can work together, learn from each other, and collectively enhance the quality of OSM data in Myanmar.
Opportunities
myOSM is more than a mapping group; it is an organization that leverages open mapping to support humanitarian efforts and community development. Contributors have the chance to apply their mapping skills to real-world challenges, providing crucial data that aids disaster response, resource distribution, and sustainable development initiatives across Myanmar. This creates meaningful opportunities for mappers to make a positive impact on communities in need.
Activities
myOSM is actively engaged in mapping activities that prioritize Myanmar's coastal areas, especially regions vulnerable to natural disasters. By collaborating with civil society and aid organizations, we focus on creating detailed, up-to-date map information to support disaster response and preparedness efforts.
