A pinnetu is a traditional dry-stone hut with a conical roof made by branches and wood (mostly juniper and lentisk). Pinnetus originally were constructed by shepherds as a workplace to make cheese and store it. The abandoned ones in public places became a temporary shelter for tourism and hikers. They can be found in parks or private houses as decoration.
They are typical of Sardinia.
