Proposal talk:Dog Poop Area
pet_toilet is good. dog_toilet is bad
pet_toilet is good. dog_toilet is bad. pet_toilet + pet_type is unnecessary unless there is a size restriction and it's in a locality where people have pet elephants (unlikely).
"My cat needs a crap. Oh, there's a dog toilet over there but cats aren't allowed to use it. I'll let her crap in the street."
Nope. pet_toilet, not dog_toilet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian de Ford (talk • contribs) 10 June 2018

- I know of hundreds of 'pet' toilets designed for and advertised exclusively to dogs. I've never seen a pet toilet advertised to other pets. Even the "pet relief areas" in US airports are de facto oriented to dogs. So removing the name of their primary target from the name seems like a bad idea to me. Even so, the tag can be seen as default available to other pets unless explicitly disallowed. If there are places that are explicitly designed for different kinds of pets, you can always -also- propose pet_toilet. To me, this would be like saying we don't need bicycle_parking because some bicycle parkings are also allowed for motorcycles.Joost schouppe (talk) 08:43, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
is voting started or not?
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Proposed_features/Dog_Poop_Area&diff=1616512&oldid=1599464 - is unfinished, https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Dog_Poop_Area#Voting also need an edit, though given that "This is an area designated for pets (dogs) urinate and excrete." is unclear (for weird reason it claims that only dogs are kept as pets) I would consider choosing a different value and changing the page title or changing description.
