Proposal talk:Frisbee
Sport vs leisure
This is not big as a sport, but the non-physical tag sport=frisbee seems more useful than leisure=frisbee that implies a special land_use. If one want to map frisbee golf courses as gordinary golf courses, see Talk:Proposed_features/Golf_course#Disc_Golf. /Johan Jönsson 17:45, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Frisbee vs disc/flying_disc
Wikipedia seem to have the official term as wikipedia:disc_golf and the thing you throw as wikipedia:flying_disc although they say "commonly called frisbee".
sport=disc can´t be right. sport=flying_disc should be the alternative.
One tag for frisbee or separate for golf and ultimate
Ok, we don´t have a sport=ball so why have a tool-based tag as frisbee? Frisbee golf is a golf-like sport in the nature/park on special courses, Ultimate is played on a big grass-field/pitch or indoor and probably shares place with many other sports.
I don´t think frisbee is such a big sport that we need to make a special frisbee key frisbee=Ultimate/golf as in the golf and canoe proposals. /Johan Jönsson 17:45, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Covered by existing tag scheme?
Proposed features/all sports offers some options for tagging Disc golf, Ultimate, etc. Ojw 10:18, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- Nice, this suggests two tags: sport=disc_golf and sports=ultimate. After reading the discussions on adjacent sport pages I think that sport=frisbee won´t do; it has to be a separate tag for disc_golf at least./Johan Jönsson 20:22, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
