Drinks

  • Subgroup: Fruit juice
  • Subgroup: Vegetable juice
  • water
  • (raw)_milk - seems to be very common in many countries
  • coffee
  • hot_choclate (common enough?) Maybe combine with coffe into hot beverages?
  • Fresh juice (Orange)

Is there any public source / thesaurus containing names of food?

It is better to use predefined list of values instead of free text form. Xxzme (talk) 03:14, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Best I could find: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/ingredients There is also http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list which is too much and not BE, but the groups are pretty interesting. --AndiG88 (talk) 05:56, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

How about "fresh milk"?

In my area, quite a few farmers have special vending machines for selling their own, fresh milk (and sometimes fruit juice, but also home-produced and chilled). Those machines are coin operated and the milk runs freely from a spout, so you have to bring your own container. This seems to me quite different from the "normal" packaged stuff, so I think it would be useful to have an individual tag. Tagging different brands of soft drink or something like that wouldn't make sense imho. --Kretzer (talk) 16:46, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

I saw those too often even tagged as vending=raw_milk and not just milk. Maybe we can have milk seperate. The issue is where to draw the line. Do we use vending=coffee then? Obviousy. vending=water... ofc. Maybe vending=hot_choclate or fresh_(orange)_juice, too. If that's all I would actually be fine with it, I just fear that there is a lot more out there which isn't your average soft_drink vending machine. --AndiG88 (talk) 01:43, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
