Short impression how the SotM Asia would look like
The first road in Thailand was input since 2007 check this animation more and more data are updated. However, there is still lack of application that utilize these datasets for the practical application. The presentation in SoTM can encourage the local communities and participants as the use case experience. Also, SotM Asia 2014 aims to increase stronger cooperation and enable experiences exchange among OSM communities in Asia. So that, more awareness of OSM will increase for better quality and more quantity.

- One day for Disaster Risk Management Hackathon by Worldbank and mapathon or workshop or field activities in Historic City of Ayutthaya World heritage (30 mins by car). (Historical/Ancient mapping in Ayutthaya)

Weather
- January and February is the winter season in Thailand but it may not so cold compare to the northern people like Korea and Japan. However it is a best season to visit Thailand since there is no rain and weather is not so hot. It is just "Cool off".
- Average temperature 22-32 Celsius.
- After conference, participants can enjoy famous beach and island in the south of Thailand such as Phuket, Samui island since there is no typhoon or rain in this period.
Cost estimate
- Catering cost per person per day (incl. two tea break and lunch) is vary from 10USD - 25USD (in AIT canteen or Buffet service)
- Gala dinner for 15USD - 30USD
- We plan to make it very cheap registration (minimum is 40USD) however depend on sponsorship support.
