Currently I have the help of the MonetDB developers to get GIS on steroids; for now I switched back to (x double, y double). There are some other performance impacts we need to address. The selection of k/v for ways, is terribly slow, this also seems to be a database issue with predicting the range constraints. If some people will join me and write queries I see no reason to not support XAPI. More complex queries will be only possible if the GIS part is fast enough, if so, then everything that is in PostGIS/Geom/Geos can be used. --Skinkie 13:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
