Talk:Comparison of iOS applications
ViewRanger
The information on ViewRanger and some of the other apps here seems quite inaccurate. Obviously ViewRanger displays maps, waypoints, tracks, and stores many types of both vector and raster maps. Perhaps the person who created the page can review the ViewRanger FAQ: iOS Users Parsa9 (talk) 16:12, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
Deletion or Heavy Revision
Many of the apps listed here have been delisted, are significantly different now, or are inaccurately described. Some of these apps have fewer than 10 reviews and some even appear to be false fronts for other apps. I think this page is probably unnecessary at this point. If people want a comparison of iOS apps, it should probably have a curated few that have been vetted, fully described, and compared rather than possibly promoting bad apps and having to maintain a catalog. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TinhatBobcat (talk • contribs) 06:55, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- @TinhatBobcat: I totally agree. I split this page off of iOS in 2016 to give that page a fresh start with a newer application gallery that doesn't need to be comprehensive and doesn't require as much effort to maintain. This older table hasn't been automated in years. There's no point in trying to duplicate the App Store manually, so I've marked the entire page as historical to keep it from wasting even more of the community's efforts. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 05:29, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
