US-98 Alternate
That route has been decommissioned in Panama City Beach. It was re-signed as Florida State Highway 30. Just take a look @ the GIS data from FDOT. --Rickmastfan67 10:00, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- The GIS data doesn't always match signage. http://www.southeastroads.com/fl-030.html shows that there were still many signs for US 98 Alternate as of August 2008. Do you have more recent "on the ground" information? --NE2 18:06, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I was working on another road project that has nothing to do with OSM. I'm one of the workers on the Clinched Highways Project (http://cmap.m-plex.com/hb/selecthwys.php?sys=usafl&rg=all&mt=g&gr=p&sub=Show#r). One day, when I was looking around in that area in StreetView for intel on if FL-30 was posted, I saw in StreetView a BGS at the Eastern end of the old ALT US-98 that had a FL-30 shield on it (in the past it had the Alt US-98 shield on it). Now, I also submitted an error report to Google that day because that had that intersection all messed up. When they fixed that up, they unfortunately reverted to the old StreetView there showing the Alt US-98. --Rickmastfan67 06:49, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
