Separating building entrance use and park use?

It was brought to my attention in the comments to my diary post about boot scrapers that they are used in parks as well (which I had added to the wiki), but also that those had been mapped as amenity by one mapper. Those don't always come in the shape of a scraper, but sometimes brushes, so the question is whether to separate the two uses and only use boot_scraper=* on entrance doors and amenity=boot_cleaner in outdoor activity (park/ hiking trail) contexts.
