With '@' or without it?

Key:twitter says that the at symbol should not be included in the value while this page says the contrary. My opinion is that the '@' could and should be omitted as it doesn't help distinguishing URLs from usernames; moreover, if present in the URL, the '@' is discarded by Twitter itself (e.g. https://twitter.com/@twitter silently becomes https://twitter.com/twitter when visiting their website with a Javascript enabled browser) --Marcor (talk) 12:30, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Thoughts about renaming into contact:X

As Twitter gets rebranded into X, changing this key into contact:X=* might be considered.

However, this might be a weird-looking key. Also, one might speculate that X will sooner or later be renamed into Twitter again. Bxl-forever (talk) 11:31, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
