Talk:Key:seamark:*
Key vs. namespace
The page Key:seamark is misused to describe seamark:type=* and seamark:<object>:<attribute>, IMHO. To make it clear right at the beginning, I have nothing at all against the tagging schema! But I find the following difficult: The key page layout and the links to data item and to taginfo relate to the "old" Key:seamark and therefore lead to confusion of both the user and the tools. Furthermore, there is not even a clear explanation of when or if the key:seamark should be added at all. – My suggestion is to create a new top page for the namespace seamark: so that confusion is eliminated, and on the other hand maintenance of the "old" Key:seamark can be undertaken in conjunction with the linked data item and taginfo. The only thing to clarify is how to name the new page, since a ":" at the end is not allowed (is it?). What do you think? --Chris2map (talk) 14:51, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
The ":" is possible (like e.g. on Key:playground:), so we could take Key:seamark: --Chris2map (talk) 15:27, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
