LSAD values and descriptions
I found this document: https://www.census.gov/geo/reference/lsad.html which lists (all?) LSAD values and descriptions. For example the most common values in OSM:

| 47 | village (suffix) | County Subdivision, Economic Census Place, Incorporated Place |
| 57 | CDP (suffix) | Census Designated Place, Economic Census Place |
