Unified mapping norms
There are a lot of different mapping going on. Even inside the city of Oslo, the classefication of an internation highway (europavei/E-road) have diffrent highway classes. This is also commen error at Statkart, who can't decide how to translate e.g. riksvei, stamvei, and europavei.
In order to combat this, I have started a biligual page, where the hiracy of the main roads, and other minor stuff is located. The page is sorted in Norwegian, so Norwegians can find the artifact they are looking for, and map it correctly (or atleast the same way)
The road hiracy is as I understand it:
1. Trunk
2. Primary
3. Secondary
4. Tertiary
To be able to keap hiracy, the motorway is only in the trunk (E-roads + stamvei) class.

Kjølen
Finns det några OSM-deltagare i Østfold, Akershus eller Hedmark? Hur kan vi åstadkomma bättre kartläggning av gränsområdet mellan (sør-)Norge och (mellan-)Sverige? De svenska landskapen Dalarna, Värmland, Dalsland och Bohuslän är hittills mycket dåligt täckta och OSM-kartorna omfattar huvudsakligen deras östra delar. --[[User:LA2|LA2[[ 13:53, 29 Jun 2006 (UTC)
Det finns tracklog för E6 till Stangen (söder om Hamar) och för riksvei 3 norrut. Men E6 och riksvei 25 in till Hamar verkar ha ritats helt utan stöd av tracklogs. Är inte det ett kvalitetsproblem? Vet vi vem som gjort detta? Kan vi inte hitta medhjälpare i Hamar? --LA2 01:59, 6 Jul 2006 (UTC)

Sjøkart
Inspirert av openseamap.org, kunne det vært fint å få på plass litt grunndata for sjøkart i OSM. På kystverkets hjemmesider er det lagt ut PDFer med farleder og noe annen marin informasjon. Jeg har sendt en mail til kystverket med spørsmål om rettigheter på dataene. Removing "WikiProject" prefix
Hi, I am Daniel, from Spain. I would like to change the name of the wiki pages related to the Norway mapping project to remove the "Wikiproject" prefix following the pages name conventions.
The name of the pages related to the Norway mapping project would be "Norway" (name of place) instead of "Wikiproject Norway", as recommended by the wiki conventions. It is a change that I have already made in United States, Canada, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and all Spanish-speaking countries on this Wiki (and more).
I could make the necessary changes, no problem, and also add the Country template to the Norway project page, although this change is optional.
