sells

Shops too have an output. I would suggest a tag 'sells' be used for them. The value of sells could be coordinated with the other output tags sells=vegetables for example and then use the same system for adding detail vegetable=carrots;tomato. Warin61 (talk) 23:18, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

Restaurant Menus are lists of outputs

Unsure what the path forward should be, if we should define a menu key or whatever, with the ability to have categories and other structures which are used in menus.

Menus in restaurants are not 'outputs'. The tables in the restaurants are not 'outputs' either. What a restaurant 'outputs' is food and drink, not bits of paper or furniture. A catalogue in a store is also not an 'output'. Warin61 (talk) 02:27, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
I corrected the title. Restaurant menus list the outputs of the restaurant. As a system, a restaurant consumes (as inputs) supplies, labor, [the use of] facilities; and the restaurant outputs prepared food, for the customers to consume.
Similar to how a car factory outputs cars, a winery outputs wine, a restaurant outputs the things on its menu.

The new title I understand. The "output" I would tag as "sells" as that would then apply to other features without having to develop yet more tags. Warin61 (talk) 03:17, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip! :) --Jamiegray (talk) 03:21, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
