I only updated the article a bit to make sense in English. I made it clear that it is not an officially supported tag, but I am wondering if the National Express and Oxford Tube routes should go to route=coach in future? A proposal by anyone could make the case that unlike public buses, coaches are long distance and have significantly less stops than a public bus. Thanks, --Amaroussi (talk) 23:06, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

In Brazil we have a nationwide network of long distance busses, with different levels of class defined (express, comfort, regional, etc). To me it makes no sense to have a different route=* value for each of them, rather specify more clearly in an additional tag (bus=* can be ambiguous, network=* might conflict in other ways. Also to me route=coach gives images of stage-coaches and the wild west... --Skippern (talk) 00:20, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
bus=* is an access thing, while network=* is for network stuff like London Buses (London), Transports de Barcelona (Barcelona) and STIF (Paris). What is your opinion on replacing route=coach with route=intercity_bus? Would it accidentally make it more complex? I hope that there will be a way to help people distinguish local buses and coaches, as we call it in the UK. --Amaroussi (talk) 16:52, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
