OSM in English Wikipedia

OSM is for example already integrated into the polish, french, netherlands and german Wikipedia articles with existing georeference. The WIWOSM tool therefore exists. It would be nice if this could be implemented as a tenth birthday present into the english Wikipedia as well. As an example an area could be found in this netherlands article "London" (click on "Kaart" upper right). A line object could be found in this german article "Nationalstreet 252" (click on the OSM logo upper right). Because it is sufficient to link an OSM object (add a wikipedia tag) to a Wikipedia article in only one language in order to show it in every language with WIWOSM feature, many georeferenced Wikipedia objects should show up from the first day. -- Tirkon (talk) 22:27, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
- That's a nice idea for a request for a birthday present. I'm not sure who or where is the best place to address this. We also have several other Wikipedia related pages on the wiki, but sending this request to wikipedia hackers/syadmins would be more effective. e.g. Perhaps it's a hack idea for the wikimania hackdays? -- Harry Wood (talk) 11:32, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
