Goals

Connectivity

All place=*s must be connected by a network of highways.

• Limiting this network to motorways or trunks shows the connections between citys.
• Adding primary shows the connections between towns.
• Adding secondary shows the connections between villages.

For each populated place labeled on the map, a user should easily be able to find the fastest route.

Continuity

A road should not repeatedly toggle between two different classifications. A motorway should begin and end at designated points, and under only very specific circumstances should there be gaps or islands.

Hierarchy

A user should be able to make correct assumptions about highways based on whether it is tagged with highway=motorway or highway=trunk.
