As of 2021-06-01 I have access to the current ChargeMyStreet database of EV charger locations in the UK.

The database contains various details, but I have confirmed that the following fields are accurate and compatibly licensed:

  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Charge point ID
  • Connector types and speeds
  • Access restrictions
  • Charging app

The licensing is compatible as they produce this data themselves (including measuring the latitude and longitude when installing the chargepoints) and have agreed to its use in OSM (under the OSM license) as per Tom Barker’s e-mail to me on 2021-06-21 and Daniel Heery’s e-mail to Tom of 2021-05-28.

I have verified the accuracy of the above fields against already-surveyed chargepoints.

The database contains other fields, including address and postcode. The licensing of those is likely contaminated with the PAF, and they should not be used.
