I began mapping the Hills district of Sydney in November 2007.

I own a Garman GPSMap60CSx for bushwalking and car navigation, and eventually I would like to help the very talented mappers in Australia (Brent Easton, SteveOz, Josh) turn their creation into a routable map. Garmin charge WAY too much money for information whch they collect from Whereis, Telstra, Sensis etc which was collected at our expense. If we can make this available to anyone, the world would be a better place. Of course no-one should get something for nothing, so participation in the project should be a pre-requisitie for getting access to this high-level mapping capability.
