In case you didn't know, we now have acess to GeoBase data!

We (the talk-ca discusion list) are now looking at ways to use it to our (openstreetmap community) best advantage.

A sample of the kinds of data which is available to us, is shown on the Ibycus Topo garmin map.

Importing Geobase

Hi there, Thanks for all the edits on the wiki, If your interested in working on importing the GeoBaseNRN, please use the talk-ca list as there is just a few people working on it, so we can coordinate efforts. I'm not sure what the status of Manitoba is (if Road Names are available) So you can check with the list so everyone is on the same page :) The other step i might note is to use the geobase2osm script, and follow the instructions on the wiki. (which might need a bit of editing to become clearer)
