Key:loading gauge
Hi ! I've get few questions about your last changes of the page.
* The Danish G2 isn't the same as UIC_C ? * As the loading gauge would be, as far as possible, easy to map, it could be interesting to find an alternative to the Slovakian tag "NM1520 ŽSR". The "Ž" and the " " computers symbols being difficultly acceptable to a tag that do not correspond to a key name. * Could you give all of yours sources ?
Thanks, --La Voie de la Raison (talk) 16:46, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I was mostly documenting all the "de facto" tagged loading gauges in the OSM data. So taken from https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/loading_gauge#values, and then looking up the relevant documentation. I linked the documentation for Slovakia. For the other countries I could not find official sources yet.
- I think that if loading gauges are equivalent like the Danish G2 with the European standard, we should retag the Danish loading gauge in the OSM data (we can document that). But as long as the tag is used, it should be documented.
- Ok thanks, this confirm what I thought.
- But you should to be careful with your method, the wiki define the map and not the overwise. So maybe we should highlight in orange the lines of the tables that aren't verified AND sourced. I think both of these conditions should be verified because of the complexity of the rules.
- I totally agree with you about the second point. But first I think it could be preferable to find an official documentation about it before change them all. It's safer.

- ~~ I could not upload the image (yet) because my account is not old enough yet. Then I added the photo to the mailing list, but the message got blocked because it is too large... It is CC0 licensed, available at https://ibb.co/wwPzmWJ (link valid for 1 month). Feel free to upload it, or I will upload it once I have the rights to do so. ~~ Hiddewie (talk) 14:49, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- Done, the file could be uploaded to WikiMedia Commons!
Files with missing license
Hi Hiddewie,
I see that you've uploaded some files, however, no license has been assigned to them. Are you the author of them? If so, I would kindly ask you to add the license under which you are making them available.
Providing a license is important because it allows other users to legally use your file according to your terms.
If you need help choosing the right license or have any questions, I'd be happy to help. maro21 21:34, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
