Note that in https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Tag:sport%3Dtable_tennis&diff=2080698&oldid=2080212 "File:" and "Image:" has exactly the same effect. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Images for some additional docs (we are running the same software as Wikipedia so technical details are the same). So such edit has basically no effect. - Hi, I need to look at the docs yet but the image was not shown before the edit (but just a link) and after the edit it was there as a thumbnail as it usually is. I took the syntax simply from another article. Will look at the docs later but do you have an explanation for what I described? --Stefanct (talk) 16:27, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- As the old page revision ( https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Tag:sport%3Dtable_tennis&oldid=2080212 ) works, I suspect that there was something broken in some caches and your edit forced cache refresh. This edit that you made is not a problem, and root issue is probably hard to investigate. I written to you because I was a bit worried that you plan to replace thousands of File: to Image: across wiki that would not be useful Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 15:25, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

JOSM Layer Steiermark Terrain+Surface
Hallo Stefan,
in der Map-Versiosliste sehe ich, dass du am 07.09.2020, in der Version 70, die „Steiermark laser scan layers“ hinzugefügt hast.
Leider funktionieren sie bei mir nicht. Es kommt bei Terrain und Surface der Fehler „Error: Parameter styles is required“.
Hast du eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

- Hi,
- ich verwende meistens nur (mehr) die layer von basemap. Aber ich kann bestätigen, dass das aktuell kaputt ist. Der Grund scheint zu sein, dass die Server keine JPEG-Tiles (mehr) anbieten sondern (nur mehr) PNG.
- Ich habs gefixt, siehe https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Maps/Austria?action=diff&version=90

- das war nicht der Grund, sondern wie in der Fehlermeldung richtig beschrieben, der fehlende "styles"-Parameter. Dieser braucht nicht einmal einen Wert haben, aber er muss vorhanden sein.
- Es sollte nach einem Update der Layer im JOSM-Imagery-Dialog wieder funktionieren.
- Ich weiß allerdings (noch) nicht, *warum* das überhaupt von einem JOSM-dev geändert wurde.
- @Don-vip: why did you change this? First of all, the "styles" is necessary but I can see why you thought removing it makes sense. I am less sure about the png->jpeg change. Do you think the format is better suited (which I somewhat agree with) or is there another reason?
