User talk:Tordanik/Window tagging

I think this proposal has been waiting long enough- I’m thinking about moving some of the proposed tagging to the main page for tagging indoor uses on OSM. Thoughts? IanVG (talk) 04:01, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

The window=* tag itself, as well as the window:width, window:height, window:breast keys, may be ok to document elsewhere. But the other sub-tags are complex enough that they should be battle-tested by mapping various buildings and by implementing software support, which I've only done a few months ago. I do still expect to make incompatible changes based on what I've learned in the process (e.g. replace the special roundtop shape with a window:top:shape key). --Tordanik 23:18, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
