Featured image proposal
I've put together a featured image proposal here: Featured image proposals#ManaguaMapping_Event and I think we will feature the image today!
...can you help by confirming the release of these photos with an open license. There is a concern that the original photographers may not have intended this when uploaded their pictures to flickr.
Also you could help by telling us some other details about the event. The caption is rather short at the moment.

- I can confirm that the licence has been picked on purpose and with permission of the original authors (please mention them for attribution). The event itself was the mapping party to improve Managua's map, especially we were working on mapping public transportation, neighbourhoods and important POIs, reference points and streetnames. Over 40 people gathered together for the whole day. Soonish (end of the week) we will publish a blog entry about the mapping party. --Xamanu (talk) 16:57, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Icon proposal
Hello Xamanu, your icon is too filigrane, it won't display well. You must stick too the grid. The thin lines will be invisible. --MeastroGlanz (talk) 05:39, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Do you remember or are you able to track down from which flickr image https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Calle_residencial.jpg was copied? Source that was stated ( https://secure.flickr.com/photos/a-barth/66662753/ ) completely mismatches that image.
If you need a new image to replace this one I strongly recommend to upload it to https://commons.wikimedia.org/ and use https://flickr2commons.toolforge.org/#/ to import Flickr images

- Thanks, Mateusz. Indeed, the link pointed to the wrong image in the right album - sorry for that -, it is still the correct author and the same permissive license (CC-BY). Adjusted it accordingly.

- The biggest benefit of importing to Commons is that they record license, using a trusted bot. So deletion/relicensing of Flickr image is no longer a big problem. I really recommend using this tool Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:53, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
