ref:eilandcode=* is the 4-digit reference code, assigned by the Dutch government to each island territory in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
These codes are used for the Persoonsinformatievoorziening Nederlandse Antillen en Aruba (PIVA), where they serve as the Caribbean equivalent of the ref:gemeentecode=* used by the Basisregistratie Personen (BRP).
Since the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, each of the six islands also has a (distinct) country code: see ref:landcode=*.
