Talk:Key:route ref
List separator char
Should the route list be space or semicolon separated? I've seen both options used "in the wild", so it may be worthwhile to specify it explicitly. --Kirill S. (talk) 10:10, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- The default separator is the semicolon. This should be used for all keys. --Mueschel (talk) 17:03, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
Include operator/network in addition of the ref
In some places, bus routes with the same reference number but belonging to different networks and operator can be found. To avoid misunderstandings, we should be able to specify maybe the network, in addition of the ref (Sometimes buses of multiple networks stops at one single stop). I propose this "sheme" : route_ref=(Network1)REF1;(Network2)Ref2, only when it must be specified.
Limited to 'bus' routes only?
I don't see the need to limit this to 'bus' routes only. 'tram', 'share_taxi', 'trolleybus', 'train', 'subway', ... might be useful as well. --ToniE (talk) 10:55, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- I agree. It's ok that the description on the wiki page focuses on bus stops, but there could be a section extending this to any kind of public_transport=platform. --Mueschel (talk) 16:59, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Not applicable on "closed ways"?
I see many platforms here in Munich mapped as closed ways (area=yes). This should be allowed also. --ToniE (talk) 10:55, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- In my opinion, because platforms are allowed to be areas, this tag obviously should be as well. --Mueschel (talk) 16:59, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
If 'route_ref' is present, it must be correct
In my opinion, if 'route_ref' is set it must be correct and include ref of all routes, even and also those which are mapped as route relations. --ToniE (talk) 10:00, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
Not applicable on "stop_area" relations
I have seen this. It is not requested as per description. It is often not correct if, for instance, bus routes cross at a juction and have their dedicated stops (positions/platforms). --ToniE (talk) 10:13, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
