tagwatch additions
If the tagwatch additions are cluttering the page, you can freely make a brief summary of it. I made it in belief that it was an identical in meaning tag for cemetery. After a brief communication with Radomír Černoch I think differently, so I've added a description of the tag. Logictheo 11:08, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Key amenity
Is the key amenity (Annehmlichkeit in German) really the right key for a graveyard? ;-) --Michi 23:39, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it is as it feels better to have all the died persons aggregated all together. --Bot47 11:42, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Graveyard=cemetery
cemetery on Wikipedia states that "The term graveyard is often used interchangeably with cemetery" and "graveyard" indeed redirects to the cemetery article. Also Graveyard_(disambiguation) on Wikipedia outright states that "A graveyard is a cemetery." --Hjart (talk) 22:48, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
Individual Graves
I see that this point is used as a node more times than as a closed way. I think there should be a reference to how this feature is commonly used. Also- as a general question- should a node of this type be used to mark individual graves in a graveyard? Is there even a tag that is able to do that?--IanVG (talk) 20:35, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Use of nodes is where small cemeteries cannot be mapped as areas. You can investigate it better with Overpass Turbo (ask if you need help). Definitely not for individual graves, see cemetery=grave for that Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:21, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
