Imagery Sources

Aerial Imagery

Aerial Imagery can be obtained from Ontario Imagery Program. To use, scroll down to Open Web Map Services and select a region then navigate to the ArcGIS REST Server link. Once you are in the service directory select WMTS or WMS in the top left corner. You can then copy the WMS or WMTS link in your browser URL/search bar.

LIDAR Imagery

Two types of LIDAR are available. The Digital Surface Model will show vegetation, buildings and other features. The Digital Terrain Model will show only ground surfaces. To use, copy the links below and only store the WMS endpoint.

Provincial Roads

Route relations

These were found by searching for network=kings_highway and network=ca_on_primary. Please add any missing ones. We need to decide on a network tag to use for all primary provincial highways.

For an example of how I believe that such a relation could be used, see the relations pointing to Highway 85 and 401 in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. 153509 153512 153513 153514 153515 153516 bielawski 01:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
