This page describes the settings and configurations you can make in the Display page of Go Map!!

Display

To open the display page press the Bootstrap map.svg button.

Background

Editor with Aerial

The selection allows you to see and add elements while also having to imagery in the background.

Editor

This selection only allows you to see and add elements without imagery in the background.

Aerial Only

This selection only allows you to see the imagery in the background.

Selecting Imagery

Tap on the imagery name that is colored blue to open Aerial Imagery page. Here you can select already available imagery given by the editor layer index.

User defined imagery

To add imagery that is not available in the existing list you can tap “Add New” and the Aerial Provider page will open.

  • Name
    • Here, you add the name of the provider.
  • URL
    • Here, you add the template url (TMS or WMS) of the server you are wanting to use.
  • Max Zoom
    • You can input the max zoom of the imagery.
  • Projection
    • If you are using a WMS url, here you can add the projection. (Leave blank if TMS.)

Once your done adding the information press “Done”.

Finally, press on the imagery to be displayed in the background.

Basemap Only

If selected, it will only display the basemap you selected.

Selecting a Basemap

Just like selecting your imagery, tap on the blue text to the right of “Basemap only” then select from one of the three available base maps.

  • Mapnik
    • Displays everything and is updated faster compared to others.
  • Americana
    • Displays information as a vector which has a higher quality than raster maps. (Mapnik and Humanitarian)
  • Humanitarian
    • Has a different style from mapnik.

Reset

Clear Cache

This will open the Clear Cache page where you can discard & refresh data.

  • Automatic
    • If selected it will automatically discard old data. (Helpful for optimizing performance and reducing the chances for out of sync bugs.)

Discard & Refresh

  • Clear OSM data
    • Clears OSM data to allow the app to be synced with the server.
  • Clear Basemap tiles
    • Clears the Basemap tiles so that your uploaded data is shown on the Basemap. (Note: It can take up to or more than 24 hours to show up as it’s based on how much data you uploaded per element.)

Overlays

GPX tracks

This section allows you to record and visualize tracks.

Recording Tracks

To record your track simply turn on your in-app gps.

Enabling GPX Tracks

To enable the GPX tracks overlay, simply press the switch to the right.

Configuring/Importing GPX Tracks

Configuring

“Delete tracks after” Will automatically delete GPX files after a certain time.

Collect in Background

This will allow the app to record your gps data while your in another app or if your phone is off.

Importing

To import from HealthKit just press “Import” located to the right.

To import from a downloaded GPX file, open your files app, then locate your GPX file and hold press, then press share. Share the file to 'Go Map!!.

Uploading

To upload to OSM press the share sheet button and then press “Upload to OSM”. But, to share the file elsewhere press “Share” and the share sheet will pop up.

Data Overlays

Here you can turn on and off date overlays from .geojson files or from predefined overlays.

Configuring

To import a .geojson file open the Data Overlays page then press the blue text saying “Import Geojson”. Locate your file(s) then press open on the top right.

You can also select from the predefined list.

  • Openstreetmap GPS Traces
  • U.S. First Roads Overlay
  • Unnamed Roads

Quests

Here you can create quests similar to Street Complete.

Select Quests Page

There is an already available list of quests but if you need, you can create a new quest by pressing either “Build a New Quest” or “Advanced Quest Builder”

Additionally you can import and export your quests. (Located at the bottom.)

Notes and Fixmes

This button will display Notes and elements tagged with Fixme.

Turn Restriction

When enabled this allows you to create and see turn restrictions on the map. See on how to create a turn restriction.

Filter

This button can filter out certain elements on the map.

Configuring

To change what elements you want to filter select the button and a list will appear on what elements will and will not be shown. Additionally you can filter out building levels by inserting a number in the box.

Intercations

Positon

You can position the “+” to the left or right of the screen.

Rotation

Let’s you decide whether you want to be able to rotate the map.
